Biography
Born and raised in Los Angeles, ViviAnn began acting at age four when her mother signed her up for an after-school musical theater class. Her first performance was “Seussical the Musical” as a ‘Who,’ and from there she was hooked. She continued in musical theater until the age of nine when she was inspired to take the leap and try acting professionally. ViviAnn immediately signed with an agent and shortly thereafter booked the starring role in her first film.
ViviAnn’s favorite part of acting thus far has been getting to know so many wonderfully talented filmmakers and having a sense of “family” while on set. She loves that acting gives her the opportunity to meet many different people from various walks of life that she otherwise may not have. She also enjoys being able to portray a new and interesting character for each different project.
Her natural talent for entertaining has given ViviAnn the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects from film, to television, to voice-over work. The first project she booked was the lead in awards-winning short film, “The Light and the Little Girl” for which she won the Best Actress award at the Art Color Digital Cinema International Film Festival in Montreal, Canada. Some of her other film projects include “Frank and Kass,” a short film by Norbert Shieh, “A Children’s Song” by Sid Ganis, “The Crooked Man” for Syfy Channel and the awards-winning indie film, “I Am Still Here.” On the television front, ViviAnn has appeared in “Adam Ruins Everything” (truTV), “Comedy Bang! Bang!”(IFC) and a comedy sketch about a politically correct Thanksgiving Pageant for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (ABC). She has also done voice-over work in several projects including Disney’s “Moana”, the hit Comedy Network series “Adventure Time,” and the current DreamWorks blockbuster movie “The Boss Baby.”
Acting is only one of ViviAnn’s many talents. She is a lifetime member of the Mensa high IQ society and is fully fluent in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese (which she has had the opportunity to use in several different acting projects). She happily and successfully balances an extensive professional acting career while attending a rigorous highly-gifted school. She values education and her favorite subjects are science and history. In her free time, she enjoys doing fun activities with her family and friends. She also loves singing, dancing, playing tennis and playing the cello. She resides in Los Angeles with her lovingly supportive parents and wonderful older brother.
