Biography
Kristen Carroll Wiig is an American actress, comedian, producer, and screenwriter. She first gained recognition for her work with the Los Angeles comedy group The Groundlings. Wiig became a star for her seven-season run on Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2012. She also co-wrote and starred in the 2011 movie Bridesmaids. Wiig attended the University of Arizona as an art student, but also took acting classes and was encouraged to pursue acting by a professor.
